The Event – The Great Barrier Reef Festival is held over four days with 15+ events such as, Friday Night Fireworks, Eat Street Markets, Comedy Gala, Live Entertainment, Street Parade, Recyclable Regatta, Family Fun Day, and many more.

The Great Barrier Reef Festival is run by a committee of volunteers. Most events are free to the community, there is something for everyone.

Airlie Events has been involved with the Great Barrier Reef Festival of over a decade and is largely responsible for planning and future development. Other duties include; permits and licensing, liaison for the community, sourcing entertainment, seeking Government funding and grants, sponsorship proposals, and logistics.
